Green Builders has been named the 2008 Star Awards' Green Building Advocate
of the Year. The award was presented during the Star Awards Gala at the
Sunbelt Builder Show.
The highly-coveted Star Awards are presented annually to recognize the best
in new home building, remodeling and restoration. Though awarded by the
Texas Association of Builders, the Star Awards accepts entries from the
entire Southwest, including Arkansas, Louisiana, New Mexico and Oklahoma.
This year marks the first time that four Green Building categories were
added to the awards line up.
Green Builders engineers their homes green from the ground up to deliver
energy efficiency in all areas of home maintenance and operation, without
sacrificing elegance, space or comfort. Careful planning during construction
translates into up to 50 percent savings for homeowners on their monthly
energy bills alone.
The Green Building Advocate of the Year recognition adds to the company's
growing list of accolades. Green Builders was also selected as the
2008 Single Family Affordable Home of the Year at the National Green
Building Awards held by the National Association of
Home Builders (NAHB) earlier this year.
Green Builders' affordable, energy-efficient homes are priced from the $180,000s
to $500,000s and are available in three communities throughout the Austin
area.
